In a perfect world, many women dream of being rescued by a rich prince, and living a life as a kept women. Sadly for many, dreams remain dreams. One such fairy tale came true for an ordinary Australian women named Mary. Mary was raised in Tasmania, Australia and hit the jackpot on a night out with friends in Sydney.

Mary was out socializing at a trendy Sydney bar one Saturday evening when she was approached by a handsome man with a Danish accent, and by all reports hit it off sparking a mutual attraction. Mary’s new admirer just so happened to be none other than Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark, who was on official royal duties in Sydney. The pair married within four years.

While it is extremely unlikely that you will have the same fortune as Mary, dating a rich and successful person can still make you feel like you are the centre of the universe. Unlike 20 years ago, millionaires are much more common these days. In Sydney for example, there are nearly 50 suburbs with a median house value of over a million dollars. For singles who are on the look out for a wealthy partner, there are plenty of them out there and they are easier to find than the heady days of the 80’s.

So, where are they?

Several matchmaking moguls have set up online dating sites catering exclusively to rich men and beautiful women. Rich single men are paying fees of up to $100,000.00 to be matched with a suitable mistress. In return for such an extraordinary matchmaking fee, wealthy male singles are settling for no less than beautiful woman with a physique to match. It is no secret that men are very visual when it comes to women, and having money to burn can pretty much guarantee them that perfect woman thanks to singles and online dating sites.

More conventional means to meet a millionaire include attending your local Chamber of Commerce meetings where many successful businessmen attend as a form of networking. Research where your nearest Entrepreneurs Club is held, which is also an ideal location to meet successful and interesting single men. (Editor’s note: I think by “interesting” he means “rich”)

Leading a lifestyle of materialism can also lead to isolation from mainstream society. Be conscious of this, retain some independence and don’t forget about your tried and trusted family and friends.
